Big snow 2010

Today we have gotten around 3 1/2 inches of snow! This is technically Endsley's second snow. The first wasn't worth counting or taking her outside to take her picture in. Jeremy has been so excited and acting like a 5 year old over the snow. The boy loves it. He was just in Colorado snowboarding last week, so I wouldn't think this little bit would get him all fired up. He left work early and was ready to go as soon as he got home. This was as close as Endsley got to the snow. She kept looking at us like we were crazy!Billy and Jill showed up to take part in all the fun. He helped rig up a little something behind Jeremy's truck to pull Riley up and down the street. The sleet kept hitting her in the face so she wasn't a huge fan. That is an inner tube that they are riding on!

He had been waiting for this all day!

I had to try it out too! I have to admit that it was fun!

Off to CeCe and Papa's tomorrow to ride four wheelers, gators and whatever else we can get into. We are taking full advantage of all the fun stuff to do!

Who knew?

Who knew that Riley had wavy/curly hair? Not me! I took her in for a trim a few weeks ago and the girl said if you let me out a few layers in her hair will curl up on it's own. So we did it for fun! When it it fresh it looks a lot curlier.

Play date

Two weeks ago Riley had her first "drop off" play date. Ella Kate is one of her little friends from church. For the past year every time I picked her up from Sunday school and asked her what she did she would reply, "I play with Ella Cake". The teachers had said that they played well together in the two year old class. So, we decided to have miss Ella Kate over for a few hours. I seriously wish it had been all day. They were precious and I loved listening in on their conversations. If I wasn't in the rec room with them they would come downstairs to let me know that they were changing activities. It was so cute!

Riley: "What do you want to do now (In her country twang) "Alla" Kate?"
Ella Kate: Looking at a purse of Riley's she said, "Hey! Get a load of this!" They painted and wore Riley's cooking aprons. I was helping them at one point and after hearing Riley call me Ashlee, Ella Kate said, "There are a lot of Ashlee's in the world. There is one at my church and one at Riley's house." hehe.
They played with play dough
They played doctor on sleeping Dora.

They semi ate their lunch outside. It was the first pretty day we had had in a long time.
It was two and a half hours of pure peace. I think I was more excited about it than anyone! This is the stuff that I love about being a mommy. I told Ella Kate's mom that she could come over any day and I meant it. She was so well mannered and Riley just loves her!

After nap that day we went out to the play set and Endsley got to try out that new swing Santa brought! She was a fan! Swinging with big sister
Love those cheeks!

We ended the day with a paper cut. I know it hurt! She milked this one though. She would hold her hand up and not use it. So, after bath time we doctored her up! Isn't she pitiful?!

8 months

Endsley is now 8 months, 2weeks and 5 days old! I am a little behind on my posting. After all the Christmas stuff I had to take a breather. She is still the BEST baby. Sleeping 12 hours a night, eating like a champ, "talking" more, crawling everywhere, getting into everything, pulling up, laughs at her sister constantly and still no teeth! She has been "saying", "ah, ba, ba, ba." She also graduated from the carrier. I couldn't do it anymore. I don't have a picture, so that will be another post. She had also outgrown her seat in the tub. She now sits like her big sister! This makes it more convenient for them to fight over toys. When we get her out she has to have a toy in hand or oh mercy...the child screams!! Sitting like a big girl with her big sister. Pulling up to watch Riley eat breakfast
Happy girl

I came in to find this one morning. We had to lower the mattress. I was really sad about this. Maybe that means we need another! hahaha. I am feeling it. Jeremy...not so much:)

She loves to climb on the end tables. This was the first time I caught her in action!

This looks like she is going to fall.
She safely pulled herself up

Another day, another table
Getting braver and braver!

One of the other things she loves to get her little hands into is our laundry basket.

Endsley, you are a busy little bee, but I am loving every second of you! As Pop Pop says, "When she smiles at you, it just makes you feel so special!"

Ringing in 2010

New Years Eve was spent in the big city of Lebanon. We took the girls for the night and they were so good. Riley and Ava McClain played so well together. I didn't get one picture of Endsley. By the time I started taking them she had gone to bed. Sister is done by 7 or 7:30! We had a great dinner and just hung out.

Cheese! Tol and Kelly took the boys to Buddy's for the night, so they missed out. I think Kelly had way too much fun with Butterscotch. He was like the real deal.
Linlee, Kelly and I

So cute!
It wouldn't be a party without a little Miley.

The video I have of this is so hilarious. Riley gets the upper lip snarl going on when she sings. Ava Mac is cracking up!

I didn't get one picture of the guys. BA and Linlee live on the lake and have some land, so the boys headed out for a little muddin' at 11 and we didn't see them until after we rang the new year in. I wish I had taken a picture of the Durango. It was completely covered in mud.
Happy New Year! Can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for us!!

The final celebration

The day after Christmas we celebrated with Nonna and Pop Pop at their house. We had another artery clogging breakfast to get the day started. I don't want to see eggs, bacon or homemade cinnamon rolls until next year:) We kicked everything off by opening our stockings. (Yes we get them too:)) Nonna loves to fill those stockings.

Angie, Jeff and Ansley

Brooke, Travis and Chance. This was a gift to Chance from Travis, I think. All I know is that it has something to do with a dead deer:(

Riley sporting her new rain boots from BB. Riley and Chance handed out gifts to everyone.
A Dora fishing pole! Now Jeremy can take her fishing this summer!

Chance sporting an American Mobile Village hat. Pop Pop promised there would be work for him this summer. Chance seemed not so thrilled.
It was a cozy morning spent in our pj's in front of the fireplace. We were all spoiled once again.
That evening we went to dinner to celebrate Derrick and Katie's engagement! We had the best dinner at Firefly and hanging out with friends at a little get together afterwards.
