It didn't last too long. She was worried about the bacon Jeremy was cooking up in the kitchen. He took the day off to spend a Saturday with us. He got up and cooked a big ole breakfast for us and then we were off to meet some friends for Pumpkin fest! The cold weather didn't stop little miss from having fun. There was a ton of stuff to keep her busy. She wore her witch costume minus the hat. Here she is posing with daddy.
Ava McClain decided she wanted me to carry her. All thirty something pounds of her. My arm fell asleep, but that was o.k. She's precious and looked oh so cute in her tutu.
Riley wanted Brandon to carry her. Jeremy quickly went from "Hero" to "Zero."

Endsley was SO good. She was a trooper to sit in her seat all day in her mermaid costume. We got her out to feed and change her and that was about it. She didn't seem to mind though.
Riley loved the pony ride. Jeremy was beside her and she told him she wanted to do it by herself. She rode a horse at Nonna's house a few weeks ago. I guess she thinks she is a pro now!
Here is where things got a little exciting. Riley was into a rhythm of scooping up some food and pouring it on to the ground for these guys. She did it over and over. We were all laughing about how comatose the animals were. They were barely moving. I had no reservations about Riley being in there. Linlee was right behind her. And then...
She began to feed this duck, which you can't see in this picture and that black goat backed into her. I guess it startled him to feel her and turned and pounced right on her. Foot on the face and all. It took me a second to process was happening. I think I was in shock. Thanks goodness Linlee was in there to grab her. She cried, of course and was saying, "Somebody run over me. I want to feed the duck." I said, "Uh, no. You're not going back in. Sorry."
All was well when we found this. We have seen these at the beach and I never dreamed that she would do it. She did and loved it!
If it involves bouncing or sliding she is sold.

After the festival we headed home for about thirty minutes before going to our church's fall festival. Here are the girls posing on the front porch. A witch and a mermaid.
Church on Halloween night is pure insanity. I don't know how many kids were there, but it was a lot! I forgot to buy Riley a pumpkin to gather her candy in, so we grabbed a plastic bag in the front of the church. It's ghetto. I know.

After eating our nutritious dinner, we headed outside to another bounce house. This pic isn't that great. I just love her facial expression in it. She was having so much fun.
This was Riley's first year to go house to house and trick or treat. This was the first house we stopped by and she politely snatched the candy out of our neighbors hand and quickly put it in her bag. I think we made it to four houses and she was done. It had been a long day with no nap.
Nonna and Cece came to join in on the fun again this year.
Halloween couldn't have been any better. It was a perfect day!
